The Clinical Council advises on clinical issues to enable Brisbane South PHN’s Board to make informed decisions on the unique needs of our community. It helps to develop local strategies to improve the healthcare system for patients in our region, and facilitates effective primary healthcare to reduce avoidable hospital presentations and admissions.
Our Clinical Council is GP-led but comprised of other health professionals, including nurses, allied and community health, Aboriginal health workers, specialists and hospital representatives. They will advise and influence the Board on opportunities to improve medical and healthcare services through strategic, cost-effective investment and innovation.
The Clinical Council works in tandem with the Community Advisory Council.
