Weekly group classes run for eight weeks and include both an exercise and education component.

Prior to commencing, an exercise physiologist will provide an in-home individual assessment of the patient to determine their suitability.

Group exercise classes with an accredited exercise physiologist incorporating cardiovascular fitness, body weight training and light resistance training.

Educational seminars from an accredited dietitian, with advice on how to achieve a diabetic friendly diet and manage your blood sugars through dietary modifications.

Individual session with either a Dietitian or EP, prior to four accredited dietitian group sessions, plus four group education/exercise sessions with an accredited exercise physiologist.

Referral form for Group Allied Health Services under Medicare for patients with type 2 diabetes.

Patients may self-refer or be referred by their GP.  DVA members also eligible for bulk billing with relevant GP referral.
